Wow, it’s been 7 years already? There’s nothing truer than the age old saying: Time flies when you’re having fun… and what a grand ol’ time it’s been since we first started playing with rooftop homes way back when. Feldon Shelter truely has blossomed into a dream, a team made up of a  likeminded crew that get to wake up everyday with the purpose of creating quality gear for the thing we love - adventuring around this beautiful country we call home.

Over these years, there has always been a constant talking point during our chats fitting up your new Crow’s Nest, or running into you in the wild. Now that you’ve got your new rooftop home sorted, where to next to get some quality outdoor essentials? And to be honest, in the past, it’s not a question easily answered.

So after years of having the same conversation, we decided to do something about it.

To do that we’ve taken everything we love about travelling NZ, and rolled it all into one destination. Introducing West Supply, The Home of Good Times. Whether it’s surfing, building up your truck, quality coffee & food or the aforementioned quality outdoor essentials… West Supply is our answer to it all.

Not only does it give you & your crew one hell of a stop off point when heading out West, but it is the answer our team has been waiting for to be able to fully cater to your adventures. Proven Roof rack solutions, overland essentials, camp gear, hand shaped surfboards, you name it. If you need it on a trip, then we’ve got a quality solution sourced locally or from around the world here at West Supply. Gear we’ve proven over our travels like Front Runner Outfitters, Yeti, Coleman, Maxtrax, Dometic, mixed with a host of amazing local legends creating quality goods like Woods Equip, Pretty Fly, Iron Clad, Goodlids and more.

We love our life out west, an amazing coast & forest area is a stone’s throw away and we’re just far enough away from the hustle and bustle of the big city to feel like time moves a little slower. You can find West Supply heading up SH16 on the turn off to Muriwai Beach & Woodhill Forest, 5 Waimauku Station Road to be exact. It doesn’t matter what kind of outdoor hobby keeps you busy, chances are, the Muriwai/Woodhill Forest area has you covered for a good time.

Nothing worth doing, is worth doing alone (is that already a saying? Did I just create a saying?) and to create this shared space for everything outdoors, we’ve called on some of our friends to join this adventure with us. The end goal to create a space together that you can stop into, that has everything going on... and more. 

With their help, we’ve managed to squeeze a whole lot into the Home of Good Times.

THE MAIN SHOP: All the quality vehicle, outdoor, overland and camp essentials, featuring the flagship spaces for Feldon Shelter & Front Runner Outfitters + much more. 

BY MARSDEN SHAPING BAY & SURF SHOP: Dan was Feldon Shelter’s first ever team member, and after growing into shaping boards full time, we had to have a space for him. You can find his in-house surfboard shaping bay out back, along with a dream line up of fresh hand-shapes and quality surf gear inside. 

WEST SUPPLY COFFEE CORNER: Another great group of friends we’ve made along the way, Kokako Coffee are the team in charge of the amazing brews and outdoor coffee gear you’ll find in our cozy coffee corner. Not only will they brew you a good cuppa, but they know then stuff when it comes to making quality coffee on the go, and have all the brew gear you need on offer, sourced from around the globe. We’ve also teamed up with some local legends to offer some damn tasty feeds to keep your belly full. You can’t go past our world famous (out west) grilled sandwiches.

VEHICLE WORKSHOP: In amongst all the fun, we continue to carry out our core activity, building up your vehicles for adventures with quality gear. But now, we have a whole lot more at our finger tips.

The best outdoor gear, surfboards being shaped, trucks being fitted out, quality food & coffee…After one year of fun down at West Supply, it has well and truely lived up to its nickname of The Home of Good Times… and we can promise next time you swing by you’ll have exactly that.
